When given the space, human beings will automatically move toward healing. How often do we really sit back and allow that to happen without trying to fix something, make it go away, and impose our own agenda on our bodies and the healing process? Hardly ever, right?
It is said that anxiety, panic disorders, and depression are all dis-eases of disembodiment. Enter the pause in between yin shapes to reconnect. During this workshop, we will really dive into that in-between space—the space where we feel vulnerable, fragile, and perhaps even anxious. We will notice what arises and how we may want to get rid of it, distract ourselves, and utilize other mental and physical habits we have developed to escape this space. We will instead connect into the moment when it all starts to change. The moment when we can start to feel our body healing and transforming; the moment when we can notice our own resiliency. Make no mistake, this takes strength and courage to do. But when we do it, we will ultimately experimentally understand that we have everything inside that we need to heal and grow—we just need to learn how to access it.
Lingering in the pause gives us space to do something different. Practicing this on the mat can be completely life changing off the mat.
