Imagine skiing on expansive flat land land and small hills while looking into the distance to see quaint and grand mountains alike dotting the landscape. This is what it's like to XC ski in Jackson, New Hampshire, and it's a great place to be in the White Mountains.


This adventure requires zero experience as there is an incredibly affordable lesson package available (lesson + rental + trail pass, see details below). For those who already have experience XC skiing, enjoy the company of others as you weave in and out of one of the biggest XC ski trails in New England at Jackson Ski Touring. Hit the Hot Chocolate House during your skiing to relax next to a fire, plus there are a variety of trails to choose from, whether it is a jaunt through the woods or opting for international standard race courses. The area also features an idyllic New England village scene that are dotted with cafes, eateries, and pubs.


Gear


Non-cotton layers & socks, hat, and gloves. Bring warm water thermos to place in your coat or backpack, as this is an incredible workout. No special footwear is required other than warm, non-cotton socks.
