Access Culture presents the 2025 World Music Concert Series happening in Revere, Hull, Melrose, Everett, Lynn, Malden, and Medford. This Free world class music from all over the globe will be provided in beautiful outdoor spaces for all to enjoy!
The first concert features three bands—The Blue Island Project, M’Bolo, and Grooversity—deeply connected by their global roots, Berklee College ties, and a shared commitment to rhythm-driven, cross-cultural musical fusion. Their performance together at Revere Beach showcases a powerful convergence of musical traditions from Cuba, Senegal, Brazil, Chile, Japan, and the United States, delivered with energy, purpose, and community spirit.
All three bands reflect a deep respect for cultural heritage while boldly innovating through cross-genre collaborations. Together, they form a cultural mosaic where West African sabar rhythms, Afro-Brazilian grooves, Cuban jazz, and global percussion create a singular musical experience.

The Blue Island Project blends Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Gospel, and Jazz elements, led by Cuban pianist Aníbal Cruz, with band members from Chile and Japan.
M’Bolo, founded by Senegalese percussionist Cheikh Ngom, fuses Mbalax (a Senegalese style) with rock and funk, amplified by a band of diverse American and African musicians.
Grooversity, led by Brazilian percussionist Marcus Santos, merges Afro-Brazilian, hip hop, funk, and Japanese taiko drumming into a multi-generational, interactive percussion movement.
