Caregiving and career often feel incompatible, but they are not. Caregivers often have to choose between work and care responsibilities and as a result, businesses lose $3.4 billion dollars due to workday interruptions, absenteeism and attrition. In this Ellevate conversation, part of our Family, Health and Lifestyle series, we will explore themes on preparing ourselves for the other chapter in our lives: caring for our elderly families.


Please join us as our speaker, Liz O'Donnell, touches on topics such as:


Balancing eldercare and career: Managing expectations and managing stress
Preparing for the interruptions: Walk away with tools, tips and advice on how to best prepare ourselves for the challenges of eldercare.


Being a working daughter: Learn how to manage conversations with managers and co-workers about flexibility, breaking down barriers and misconceptions about the responsibility of the working daughter. On the flip side, as a manager, you can learn how to support your staff through difficult times.


Liz is the founder of Working Daughter, a community for women balancing eldercare, career, and more. An award-winning writer, she recently published her second book, Working Daughter: A Guide to Caring for Your Aging Parents While Earning A Living.
