With all the different shades of gray, brown, and white outside and the striking sculptural bare branches of the trees, winter is a great time for painting and experimenting with color, line, and shadow. Let's capture the bright, the dreary, the invigorating cold-using watercolors. We will walk on the trails to observe nature, and then we’ll have time to paint what we see, what we feel. No experience needed to make art! Please be prepared to be both indoors and outdoors.

Salvation Burnette teaches in the Writing Studies Program at Emerson College. They are the author of laughing plastic (Broken Sleep Books) and Special Ultimate: Baby's Story: a Documentary (Ghost City Press). Their poetry has been published in Pinwheel, Homology Lit., SIxth Finch, and elsewhere.
