Have you been thinking about becoming a beekeeper, but aren’t quite sure? Want to know more about honeybees and how they make that golden, delicious honey? Dave Shaner, a teacher at the Norfolk County Beekeeers Association, gives aspiring honey-farmers an introduction to this traditional New England practice. The class covers all the details of what it is really like to suddenly be the livestock manager of 30,000 buzzing girls, including housing, pest management, harvesting honey and more. Suitable for ages 12 and up.

Space is limited, preregistration is required, and minimums must be met to run the class. Member $ 36, Nonmember $45. For updates, including cancellations, please check our Facebook page: facebook.com/thetrusteeschf
