The Weston Friendly Society opens its 131st season this month with the classic American musical BYE BYE BIRDIE! This Tony Award-winning musical is the story of Kim McAfee, an ordinary girl from Sweet Apple, Ohio, who is chosen to be the lucky girl who gives “one last kiss” to singing sensation Conrad Birdie before he joins the Army. This amazingly talented cast of 45 actors ranges in age from 11 to 75 years old. Director Dan Sullivan’s lively costumes and rousing choreography combine to make this family-friendly show unforgettable. Classic numbers like “Put on a Happy Face” and “The Telephone Hour” will have viewers dancing in their seats.
