Both pianist and composer, Nikita Mndoyants rocketed to early stardom in 2016 at the very beginning of his international career with a remarkable first—winning both the Cleveland International Piano Competition and the Prokofiev International Composers Competition. The Moscow-trained scion of a Russian musical dynasty will bring his gold medal technique to music at the center of the repertoire, as well as a tribute to Leonard Bernstein, himself the Boston-bred child of Russian immigrant parents.
