Celebrating its 93nd anniversary, the Weavers’ Guild of Boston, the country’s oldest weavers’ guild will hold its Annual Exhibit and Sale at the Josiah Smith Barn, 358 Boston Post Road in Weston, MA, on November 5th through November 88h. Admission is free.
This is a 4-day event composed of two parts: A Sale and an Exhibit. Admission is free to both.
This year’s sale will be held at 358 Boston Post Road at the following days and times:
Thursday, November 5, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Friday, November 6 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday, November 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, November 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Weavers’ Guild of Boston Annual Juried Sale offers shoppers a wide range of finely-crafted
items. There will be a wide selection of creative clothing, including many scarves and shawls for
all seasons and occasions. The sale also includes many colorful blankets, placemats and other
household items, as well as other unique gifts. Most items are hand-woven; though there are
others that are knitted, felted and/or sewn.
The Exhibit this year is "Gourmet Weaving". These pieces, which were woven using a cooking
recipe as the inspiration, are not for sale. Instead, they showcase the talents of the weaver's craft.
