Come to the Waterworks Museum for a 1 hour guided tour with SPECIAL ACCESS to basement level pumps and upper levels of the engines.
Special Access ticket holders will receive an in depth guided tour and be permitted access to the sub-basement two stories below ground to view the massive Allis pumps that delivered 30 million gallons of water per day to the citizens of Boston. Participants will also have the exclusive opportunity to climb either the Allis Engine or the Leavitt engine for an up-close look at these mammoth machines. All participants must be at least 46 inches tall due to the height of the safety rails. All participants will be required to sign an accident and liability waiver acknowledging the risks associated with climbing the high and narrow pathways before being permitted to engage in the Special Access Tour. This waiver will be provided on your arrival. If you would like to review it ahead of time, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In accordance with the latest recommendations of the CDC, all museum visitors are required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
If you have any symptoms of illness, please do not visit the museum at this time. We look forward to welcoming you back when you are well.
For your safety, and the safety of our staff, please adhere to posted signage at the museum and the instruction of staff members.
The Waterworks Museum reserves the right to refuse service to ticket holders who do not adhere to the posted safety standards.
