During our roadtrip/hike, we will be visiting three waterfalls in northern New Hampshire: Ripley Falls in Harts Location (Crawford Notch State Park), NH; Arethusa Falls in Harts Location (Crawford Notch State Park), NH; and Sabbaday Falls in Waterville Valley (Grafton County, NH).
Hike Details:
Difficulty: Moderate:
Ripley Falls: 1.2 miles round-trip, so easy side of moderate (40 minute hike). The trail is not well-maintained and is narrow in many spots, so please wear good footwear to deal with rocks and roots.
Arethusa Falls: is 3 miles round-trip, so on the difficult side of moderate (2 hour hike).
Gibbs Falls is a 1.2 mile hike round trip, so on the easy side of moderate, if we skip Crawford Cliff (approx. 40 minute walk)
What to Bring:
Fee for the parking area ($5 in cash)
Camera
Hiking boots or shoes with good traction. NO sneakers or fashion shoes!
Hiking poles (optional)
2-3 liters of water
Snacks and food
Bug spray and sunscreen
Hat and sunglasses
Appropriate clothing for the weather: I will confirm what to wear one week before the event.
