Water is essential to all known life. It was the medium within which the first simple organisms moved and thrived. It comprises the majority of the cells in our bodies. We build our cities around it and search the outer reaches of our galaxy for signs of its presence.
The artists of the exhibition allude to this relationship in their materials and subject matter, to form a portrait of this simple elemental fluid, from which all life’s complexity has arisen.
Featuring: Natalie Andrew, Barbara Eskin, Jess Hurley Scott, John Kennard, Connie Lowell, and Dominick Takis. Curated by Stephanie Arnett / Atlantic Works Gallery.
