The City of Waltham, Department of Conservation and Recreation, Mass State Police, and Mayor Jeannette A. McCarthy are pleased to announce this year’s Independence Day Celebration!
- Friday, July 1st: This year, fireworks will be set off from a barge set up in the Charles River near Moody Street Bridge! Fireworks will begin at dusk on Friday, July 1st. The Moody Street Bridge (139 Moody Street at the Riverwalk to Moody/Pine Streets) will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 4PM on Friday, July 1st and open to pedestrian traffic only starting at 5PM. Stay tuned for a list of suggested viewing areas!
- Saturday, July 2nd: Join us at Prospect Hill Park (314 Totten Pond Rd) from 10am-2pm for plenty of free fun for the whole family! There will be music, amusements, games, and more!
- Sunday, July 3rd & Monday, July 4th: There are no events planned for July 3rd or 4th. Make note of the schedule in Waltham for the Independence Day holiday on Monday, July 4th.
