Throughout history, Wolves have been the personification of wonder and power. They represent the untamed spirit and unconquered land. With that reputation, they have also been condemned as evil incarnate and, once murdered, a symbol of man’s brutal conquest of nature. This exhibition, Juried by Wolf Hollow Director, Zee Soffron, explores and promotes the majesty of these beautiful creatures whose alluring energy continues to inspire. As a commitment to the preservation of these important animals, The Salem Art Gallery at The Satanic Temple Salem pledges the proceeds of the works included in this exhibition towards our neighbors to the north, Wolf Hollow Conservation and Education Center. Free and Open to the Public Special Guest: Acoustic Doom and Blackened Folk band FOREVER AUTUMN will perform an ethereal set in honor of the Wolf and exhibition. Avantgarde entity FOREVER AUTUMN's founder and driving force Autumn Ni Dubhgaill abandons any and all prenotions of tradition. Intertwining elements from a vast swathe of inspirations, from ancient Celtic, Slavic, and other European folk music to more contemporary extreme metal, FOREVER AUTUMN masterfully crafts a raw sound that breaks down any generic barriers or borders. This is the sound that Autumn chose to describe as "acoustic doom," with all of the intriguing paradoxes which that entails.
