This weekend, on National Seat Check Saturday (9/29), Boston Volvo Village will have certified CPS technicians on site to properly install or check an already installed car seat, regardless of their type of vehicle, to ensure it is safely placed in the vehicle, free of charge.
Leading up to Child Passenger Safety Week (9/23 – 9/29) and National Car Seat Check Saturday, Volvo conducted a new study that explored American parents’ preparedness for driving with young children, the overwhelming choices that new parents face, and their knowledge of safety practices when it comes to driving while pregnant and using/installing car seats. Alarmingly, the report found less than half of parents are regularly checking the boxes on essential safety measures once they have a car seat.
Volvo is hoping to address the issue by inviting people in your area to swing by the Boston Volvo Village at 61 N Beacon Street ensure their car seats are properly installed.
