Volcanos are a hot topic. Terroir differs globally and winemakers don’t back down in the face of danger. Actually, the land surrounding volcanos provides a unique environment for grapes and imparts earthy flavors in a completely unique way. Depending on the grape, flavors can range from saline to wet earth and pleasantly change the natural fruitiness of grapes we know and love, depending on where they’re from and what the unique land properties impart. Because these wines are essentially a true representation of volcanic terroir, they pair well with flavorful meat. In this class, we’ll taste volcanic wines from all over the world alongside regionally-specific styles and preparations of sausage. Instructor: Hannah Morrow


Monday, 6-8pm. Jan. 22. The cost of tuition includes all food materials and fees.
