Acclaimed for his poetic touch and remarkable clarity, Seong-Jin Cho returns to Symphony Hall with an imaginative program that balances elegance and drama. From the playful charm of Widmann to the theatrical brilliance of selections from Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, the evening moves between wit and intensity. Mozart's haunting Fantasia in C minor adds lyrical depth before Prokofiev's monumental Eighth Piano Sonata ends the night with an uproar. Offering virtuosity, color and storytelling at the keyboard, it's a vivid showcase for one of today's most compelling pianists.
