Safe at Home? Bored? Don't worry!
We're bringing our most popular Fused Glass Class: Bowl Draping, to YOU!

Our NEW new virtual glass classes are an excellent way to keep your mind fresh while adjusting to a new routine. We have years of experience teaching and studying glass art.

Our goal is to bring you a fun, virtual experience, that is so easy you don't need any experience, and so rewarding you'll want to join us again!

Each class is taught by one of our amazing instructors and is hosted via zoom. Our classes are SMALL to ensure each student gets the attention they need when exploring this new art form!

Virtually Join us for our super fun and educational suncatcher fusing class!

Students will learn the basics of glass fusing to create a sun-catcher of their design. Class will begin with a lesson in glass safety and move into glass cutting techniques.

We're doing our best to make this class not only fun, but also informative. Students will learn basic art techniques including color theory, and properties of opacity verses translucency. Each student will learn the history of stained glass and the evolution of glass fusing, while developing construction and design skills.

Students will brainstorm ideas to create a piece they will be proud of!

Great for beginners. No experience necessary.
Course Cost $29.50, materials and use of tools included.
Registration required. Please read the FAQ before registering.

FAQ

How Do I Receive My Materials?
Hand Delivery: (DEADLINE TO ORDER for hand delivery is 48 hours before class date)
We are happy to deliver tools and materials to people located within 5 miles of our studio (located in Needham, MA).
OR
Contact-Free Pick Up (DEADLINE TO ORDER for Contact-Free Pick up is 5pm the day before class)
If you are ordering with-in 48 hours of class date or ordering from over 5 miles away, we can only accommodate pick up.
You may opt into contact-free pick up when you register for class. (Pick up location is 60 Dedham Ave, Ste 102, Needham MA.) Please call Jordan (781 444 2909) to schedule a pick up time.

What do I need to do to get ready?
We suggest prepping your area for work. Laying out newspaper, or a cut up paper bag will help protect your workshops from the glass. Lay out all the tools and material you have in your kit for easy access. Make sure you have a bench broom handy to keep a clean area. Log into the meeting room 10 minutes before class starts to have time to fix technical issues. And make sure you're wearing proper clothes for arts and crafts.

How Do I Find the Link to View the Class?
When you register for class you will receive an email with a meeting location. The meeting location is a virtual meeting ID # to log into via zoom. Please make sure your video and microphone are working on your phone, iPad or computer. Please log onto the link 10 minutes before your class begins to allow for trouble shooting. If you have any technical issues, please call 5083145645.

What do I do when I'm done?
The great thing about virtual classes is if you finish before class is over, you don't need to hang around and wait - you can just log off! If you are still creating after the class has ended, you can continue working! Class ends at the scheduled time, but we allow 30 minutes of transition time between classes so you can post questions if you need help finishing up.

We kindly request the tools and any unused materials returned to The Glass Bar by the Monday following class. We will happily pick up your kit if you live with-in 10 miles. If you live outside of the 10 mile radius please drop your project, tools, and materials back to The Glass Bar by the following Monday at 5pm. Failing to return the tools on time will result in a $5 late fee, per kit, per day.

FUSED GLASS PROJECTS:
When you have finished designing your project, you MUST RETURN YOUR PROJECT to The Glass Bar for completion (firing). We will email you when your project is ready for pick up.

STAINED GLASS PROJECTS:
Your projects do not need to fired in the kiln, once class is over you will be finished! However, in order to make this class possible, we are loaning you our tools and materials. We do need these back.

When can I Pick up/Drop-off my projects?
The building is open regular business hours (M-F 9-5pm). If you miss this window, you can tuck your project behind the UPS drop off kiosk when returning.

What Should I Wear?
No need to get dolled up for us (unless you want to.) We do recommend wearing clothes suitable for arts and crafts and maybe a pair of slippers.

Cancellations
Cancellations made with more than 48 hours notice may receive a refund or credit to a future class. Cancellations made within 48 hours are subject only to a credit. Cancellations should be made by phone or by emailing us at [email protected]. We are sorry, but we cannot give refunds or issue credits for 'no shows'.
