The COVID-19 pandemic has shut down many local restaurants, heightened the burden on healthcare workers fighting to keep everyone safe and increased the number of food-insecure individuals in New York City, and across the nation. Isabella Di Pietro and her family were inspired to start an organization called Feed the Frontlines NYC that provided a way to support frontline healthcare workers — while keeping the family restaurants in business.
During this virtual conversation over coffee, hear more about how this initiative got off the ground quickly, and how it's expanded into other cities across the US. Interested in food activism in your hometown? This is a great opportunity to ask all your questions.
This virtual event is free and open to the public. Sign up at https://bit.ly/FLPEvents to receive an email closer to the event date inviting you to access the event online.
