About: Born in 1815 in North Carolina, Moses Roper was an abolitionist, freedom fighter, and survivor of enslavement whose activism spanned the U.S. and the U.K. This talk with Roper biographer Dr Hannah-Rose Murray (University of Suffolk) will trace his life, including his years in Britain, post–Civil War experiences, and his tragic death in Boston.
