Celebrate the launch of We, Ceremony's first e-book: Liberación/Liberasyon/Libertação/解放: Unapologetic Women of Color. This e-book features Chardline Chanel-Faiteau, Zubeda Khan, and Lydia López, three women of color leaders in Boston who are redefining the narrative of what it means to be a woman of color.
Chardline advocates for communities of color every day in her current role at the Office of Fair Housing and Equity, through her work on climate change and heat awareness as an urban planning graduate student, and as a body positive, plus-size style blogger.
Zubeda encourages intersectionality and inclusivity in her role at Malikah, a national organization committed to self-empowerment among Muslim women. She embraces radical self-love as a form of resistance.
Lydia draws on her own experiences growing up in an El Salvadoran immigrant family in her work with Spanish-speaking immigrant and LGBTQIA communities at Fenway Health. She emphasizes the need to dismantle anti-blackness and challenge biases within communities of color.
Please join We, Ceremony and these three inspirational women in a fireside chat on the topic of identity. The evening will include food and beverages, a raffle drawing, and a chance to meet local leaders and other women of color.
Spots are limited.
