Join Trinity Church in Copley Square tour guides at the eagle lectern at 10:15 am on Sun., July 5, to explore the history, art, and architecture of our historic building and learn about Trinity’s role in the religious life of Boston during the American Revolution, as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s independence. Hear how Trinity’s young assistant rector, and the sole remaining Anglican clergyman in the city, managed to keep the church open throughout the war despite moments of open hostility.
This tour will repeat at 12 noon and 2 pm on the same day. The Trinity 1776 Tour is free and open to all.
