Experience a first-of-its-kind seasonal beer garden and performance space on Boston Common, running from May 4th to November 1st. This unique collaboration between Emerson College, Trillium Brewing Co., and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department brings a 420-seat beer garden to the heart of the city at the corner of Boylston and Tremont streets, just steps from the Boylston MBTA Green Line station. Enjoy food and beverages from Taqueria El Barrio alongside live performances on the UnCommon Stage.
This 5,000 square-foot Emerson College UnCommon Stage showcases daily entertainment and diverse programming, featuring local musicians, radio broadcasts, book readings, comedy shows, and more. The stage, designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects, aims to create an inviting and vibrant space for the community.
Mayor Michelle Wu highlights the importance of the venue and beer garden as a means to "activate the historic park and our downtown, offering performances that represent all of our residents of Boston and a new, beautiful outdoor gathering space for all."
According to Boston Parks Commissioner Ryan Woods, the Trillium Garden on the Common provides an ideal setting for enjoying a meal, spending time with friends and family, and supporting the city's recreational programs for both youth and adults.
Visit the Trillium Garden on the Common on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 9 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 9 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. This initiative is part of the Boston Common Master Plan, which focuses on introducing new activities and reimagining underused spaces throughout the park
