The diversity of the Peruvian landscape allows for some of the greatest varieties of flavor profiles in cacao available in a single country. Recently returned from this beautiful country to visit cacao farms and historical sites, chocolate sommelier Victoria Kichuk will lead the group through a tasting of chocolate made with Peruvian origin cacao beans, while sharing stories and images from her trip, including stories of the Awujun indigenous women and their cacao ceremonies, the archaeological site of the oldest discovered remnants of cacao, and insight on the most rare cacao varietal in the world, Fortunato No. 4.
