Born on a tricycle in East Boston, now tucked inside the Porter Square Books building in Seaport — TravelMug Café serves up creative drinks, cozy vibes, and harbor views you won’t find at any chain.
We are the only independent coffee shop of the Boston Seaport, plus 2 pop-up tricycle cafes, born in East Boston, bringing Specialty Coffee to the Coffee-desserts out there, while promoting community and local bakers. We also just LOVE puppies.

The cafe shares the space with Grub Street, Porter Square Books, and a creative writing center.
GrubStreet and Porter Square Books have been longtime friends, so we’re especially excited to have them joining us at our new center as our in-house bookseller.
Porter Square Books: Boston Edition is a welcoming space to gather with your neighbors, linger over books, read with your kids, chat with booksellers, and feel a part of the reading community.
