Join us for a free livestream panel discussion exploring the lasting effects of historical trauma that is rooted in slavery and the process of healing the body and mind through expression. The panel will feature key partners from the development of Jean Appolon Expressions' (JAE) newest work, Traka, including co-founder and artistic director of JAE, Jean Appolon; MIT professor and director of MIT-Haiti Initiative Dr. Michel Degraff; and University of Miami professor and psychologist Dr. Guerda Nicolas. The discussion will be moderated by Nadia Milad Issa, JAE dancer and Cultural Strategist.

This panel discussion will stream free on the Global Arts Live Facebook and YouTube channels.

Don't miss JAE's world premiere performance of Traka on May 13 & 14 at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston.

Funded in part by the New England States Touring program of the New England Foundation for the Arts, made possible with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts Regional Touring Program and the six New England state arts agencies.
