A music legend the world over, singer-songwriter and folk rock pioneer Tom Rush brings his unique brand of blues-influenced folk/rock music to TCAN. As a founding father of the folk rock genre, he's been credited with launching the careers of Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Jackson Browne. From his early days at Club 47, through 16 albums, to his sold out Club 47 concert series, Rush is known not only for his own wonderfully written songs filled with healthy doses of both folk and blues influences but also for supporting and recording those of emerging artists such as Mitchell, Eric von Schmidt and Eric Kaz. He helped shape the folk revival in the '60s and the renaissance of the '80s and '90s, his music having left its stamp on generations of artists.
