Amanda Palmer is an international recording artist, songwriter, singer, pianist and performer. Originally from Lexington, Massachusetts, she simultaneously embraces – and explodes – traditional frameworks of music, theater and art. She records and performs with the punk cabaret duo The Dresden Dolls, as well as a solo artist. Her New York Times best-selling book The Art of Asking was published in 2014.
Journalist Christopher Lydon currently hosts the popular weekly radio show/podcast Open Source, “an American conversation with a global attitude,” heard on WBUR, Boston’s NPR news station. Prior he covered politics for The New York Times, hosted WGBH TV’s The Ten O’Clock News, and co-founded/hosted The Connection radio talk show on WBUR. Open Source is the podcast covering arts, ideas, and politics, available on iTunes.
