This evening, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is partnering with the Boston Literary District to draw inspiration from the new Henry James and American Painting exhibition. Visitors can play with words in a fun variety of literary games, artistic exploration, and poetic activities using James’s writing as a starting point.
Will Dailey, three-time winner of the Boston Music Award for Best Singer/Songwriter, will perform in the Courtyard. Known for his soulful sound and thoughtful lyrics, his music has been described as having a rich, vintage vibe.
The monthly Third Thursday gatherings were recently named Best “Arty Party” by Improper Bostonian and are designed to offer an enchanting atmosphere in the Museum at night. There is a different theme each month with music, creative collaborations, playful gallery activities, and hands-on art making as part of this lively, social evening. Café G is open for snacks, dinner and drinks, and a cash bar is open near the Courtyard.
Tickets are required to attend this often sell-out event, and it is suggested to purchase in advance. Tickets may be purchased online at gardnermuseum.org, by calling the box office at (617) 278-5156 or at the door. Tickets include Museum admission.
Ticket prices are as follows: $15 for adults, $12 for seniors age 65 and up, $5 for students with a valid college ID, and free for children under age 18. Students at select universities may receive free admission. Here is the list of participants on gardnermuseum.org. Student ID must be presented in person.
