The all-new national tour of The Wiz is easing on down the road to the Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston. The production will play a strictly limited, weekend engagement from Friday, January 22 through Sunday, January 24, 2027. Direct from Broadway, this soul-infused reimagining of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz delivers a high-intensity revival packed with timeless music and spectacular modern visuals.


This groundbreaking twist on a classic tale tells Dorothy’s familiar story through a vibrant mix of soul, gospel, rock, and 70s funk. The 2026–2027 national touring company features a newly announced cast bringing powerhouse vocals to iconic numbers like "Home," "Ease on Down the Road," and "No Bad News". The creative team features eye-popping visionary sets, stunning costume design, and show-stopping choreography.
