The Wild Benches of Hope is a free, public art exhibition by internationally acclaimed artists Gillie and Marc, on view at Faneuil Hall Marketplace from January 2026 through January 2027. The interactive installation features three large-scale bronze benches - The Reading Bench, The Green Bench, and The Teatime Bench - where visitors can sit alongside the artists’ beloved characters, Rabbitwoman and Dogman, and endangered animals including a giraffe, hippo, and elephant. Designed for all ages, the sculptures invite moments of curiosity, imagination, and connection during a visit to the Marketplace.
Known for creating playful yet meaningful public artworks, Gillie and Marc use storytelling and humor to spark conversations about kindness and caring for animals. Presented in partnership with Zoo New England, the exhibition introduces families to important conservation themes in an approachable, engaging way - encouraging visitors of all ages to slow down, learn together, and feel inspired to protect wildlife near and far.
