WADE DAVIS recently attracted global attention with his opinion piece in Rolling Stone magazine asking the question: Does the Covid-19 pandemic signal the end of the American era?
Cambridge Forum offers its latest event on Friday September 25 at 1 pm when Wade Davis will speak about why he wrote the RS piece and why he believes it struck such a chord, around the world. He will also talk about his latest book, “MAGDALENA: River of Dreams” which brings to life the story of the great Río Magdalena, illuminating Colombia’s complex past, present, and future. This event is free and all are welcome!

National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence for more than a decade, Davis became an honorary Citizen of Colombia in 2018. Davis is an internationally acclaimed anthropologist, who currently holds the Leadership Chair in Cultures and Ecosystems at Risk, at the University of British Columbia. He holds degrees in anthropology and biology and received his Ph.D. in ethnobotany, all from Harvard University.
