The Underlings Theatre Co. is proud to present "The Tour," a new play by Canadian playwright Alice Abracen, directed by Lelaina Vogel.


"The Tour" follows a Canadian pilgrim (Sylvia Sword) and a local tour guide (Zaven Ovian) as they visit ancient ruins on the Iraqi-Syrian border one week before ISIS is expected to march through and destroy them. But each character has a secret they're keeping from the other.


This incisive, strikingly contemporary two person play ranges in tone from farce and physical comedy to political intrigue and sacrifice. It explores questions of privilege, history, and asks "who has the right to speak for whom?"


"The Tour" runs May 3-5, 10-12 at 8 pm, and May 6 at 2 pm. Cambridge Theatre Works Black Box Theatre, 189 Winnisimmet Street, Chelsea, MA.
