Join hosts Bethany Van Delft and Carolyn Castiglia as they navigate the chaos of life in the pandemic, looking for advice, truths and humor along the way. Special guests TV correspondent Dr. Alok Patel will share tips on determining reliable news sources and research studies, and author Noelle Gentile offers her perspective on raising a child with special needs in a pandemic. Also featuring the sage wisdom of comedian Shalewa Sharpe and musical genius of comedian Nick Chambers.

Bethany Van Delft


Bio: Bethany Van Delft has performed at Just For Laughs, All Jane Festival, SF Sketchfest, WICF & Boston Calling. She is a regular host for The Moth live shows, in 2019 she was named “Best Comic” by Boston Magazine, the same year she dropped her debut comedy album “Im Not a Llama” to good reviews and an impressive number of minutes at #2 on the iTunes charts.


Carolyn Castiglia


Bio: Carolyn Castiglia is a stand-up comedian known for her powerfully funny style of storytelling, freestyling, and crowd work. You may have seen her on Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, NickMom, Lifetime, fyi, WE tv, Seeso, or the corner looking confused. She lives in Brooklyn with her 14-year-old daughter and their handsome cat, Ash.

In order to access this livestream please RSVP for tickets via Eventbrite. A link to the livestream will then be emailed to you once you have completed the registration, then again 48 hours prior, 2 hours prior, and 10 minutes before the event begins just for good measure!


About ONCE Virtual Venue:


In May of 2020 ONCE Somerville, an independent venue in the Boston Metro area, decided to launch a “virtual venue”. The venue was started in response to the COVID19 crisis and the massive amount of cancellations that occurred in the wake of stay at home order. ONCE VV is a place for audiences to interact and enjoy performances that range to suit all sorts of palates. Music, tutorials, fitness, games and more.


“We call ourselves independent, but what we are is interdependent. Performance is art. Art soothes and nurtures us. It makes us happy.” ONCE VV will work hard to add a warmth and hospitality to the livestream by evoking the hominess and cozy hospitality they are known for and will continue to keep the ONCE name tied to diverse and quality programming as they frontier the wild west of an online “virtual venue”.
