A great compilation deserves a great release party, and that’s what The Sound Cove has planned for the inaugural Super Sonic Showcase at The Burren in Somerville on the afternoon of Sunday, October 19. Raising a glass to the new Boston label’s 15-track digital collection out the prior New Music Friday, the matinée showcase features live performances from six bands heard on the comp, delivering diverse styles and sounds from a half-dozen homegrown acts across a spectrum of indie, power-pop, garage rock, and more: The Chelsea Curve, Speedfossil, Cold Expectations, Happy Little Clouds, Corin Ashley, and Eric Barlow.
