Arlington Jazz is excited to partner again with Town Tavern to present The Samba Jazz Project as part of a fundraiser for Dana Farber Cancer Research. Dan Fox, the group’s leader, is also the director of ArlingtonJazz.org and owner of Arlington's Morningside Music Studio. The group features drummer and Rio native Rafael Barata, who has performed with the top names in Brazilian music including Hermeto Pascoal and Eliane Elias. Also joining Fox will be local heavy hitters including Alexei Tsiganov on piano and Paquito D’Rivera’s bassist Oscar Stagnaro, professors at New England Conservatory and Berklee respectively.
