The Parish Jazz Band, established in 2004, is affiliated with the First Parish Church of Stow and Acton, and for more than 15 years has contributed to the local jazz scene in Eastern Massachusetts. The PJB plays music from the Great American Songbook (Ellington, Carmichael, Arlen, Gershwin, Rodgers, Porter), bebop (Parker, Coltrane, Davis, Gillespie), and Latin jazz (Jobim, Palmieri). Currently, the Band is seven people, four men, and three women, including saxophone, trombone, trumpet, bass, drums, guitar, and vocals. The Parish Jazz Band performs about ten times annually, for fundraisers, local dances, birthdays, anniversaries, holiday parties, Chamber of Commerce meetings, farmer’s markets, and brunches at the local winery. Its Musical Director is guitarist and charter member Michael Paladini. November 14th will mark the Band’s third performance at the Healing Garden.
This will be a virtual concert. Please register to receive the live-stream link.
