Trumpeter Feya Faku is one of South Africa's leading jazz musicians, representing both South Africa's rich and distinctive jazz tradition and that tradition's close relationship with American jazz. He will be making a rare U.S. visit and joining Boston's Makanda Project for a concert featuring pianist/leader John Kordalewski's new arrangements of several of his compositions, along with selections from the band's repertoire of Makanda Ken McIntyre compositions.
