Boston's 13-piece Makanda Project will be joined by the remarkable Chicago-based vocalist Dee Alexander for an exciting evening of jazz at the Shaw-Roxbury Library. Ms. Alexander, recently honored nationally as a 2026 Mellon Jazz Fellow, is known for the great breadth of her artistry. She has collaborated with the Makanda Project on several prior occasions, with big band arrangements of her original compositions.
Admission is free. There will be two shows, at 7:00 and 8:30; seating is limited so reservations are recommended. SEATS REMAIN FOR 8:30 SHOW ONLY. For reservations email [email protected]; specify which show and how many people.
