The “Kinda Cruise” Day Party at IDBeach with East Boston Oysters

With nearly 300,000 people a year setting off on cruises from the Flynn Cruise Port right behind the IDB, The Kinda Cruise Day Party will bring the best parts of a cruise vacation to those not yet ready to leave dry land. The party will feature a soundtrack of soothing yacht rock tunes, games, and all you can eat oysters for the first 100 ticket purchasers courtesy of East Boston Oysters! In true EBO fashion, guests will be able to meet the farmer of the oysters they'll be eating, Stephen Wright of Chatham Shellfish Company, who will be shucking until supply runs out.

A cash bar will be on site and additional food will be available for purchase from Yankee Lobster Co.

This event, like all events in the IDBeach event series, is a 21+ event and will take place at 23 Drydock Avenue at The Innovation and Design Building. The party runs from 1-5pm on Saturday November 11th, and tickets are available at IDBeach.eventbrite.com for $12.

About the IDBeach Event Series:

This fall, The Innovation and Design Building in Boston’s Seaport District is creating a beach inspired space complete with cabana seating, “ocean views”, umbrellas, and palm trees. To highlight the building’s vibrant community of designers and creative professionals, the IDB is hosting a series of Saturday afternoon events featuring great food, music, drinks, and a completely unique experience in a one-of-a-kind setting.

Cereal Cinema Brunch Double Feature on Saturday, November 18th
IDBeach is the perfect setting to fill that outdoor lounging void by bringing the beach inside and presenting a double feature of movie classics. All-you-can-eat popcorn, candy, and cereal are included in the cost of admission, and a cash mimosa bar will be on site for those looking for a brunch-time pick-me-up. 11:30am-5pm, $12

90’s Beach Party w/ Live Music on Saturday, December 2nd
The IDBeach will transform into a 90’s style dayglow daydream of a party that throws it back to an era beloved for its neon, wild prints, and epic fads. The space will feature arcade games, a cash bar for guests, and Boston-based cover band, The Unoriginals, playing a set of 90’s throwback hits you can’t help but want to sing along to. 1-5pm, $12

AIGA Trivia on Saturday, December 16th
Building off of their successful trivia night in Cambridge earlier in the year, the American Institute of Graphic Arts (better known as AIGA) will host a free trivia night at IDBeach for designers and non-designers alike. Come flex your brain muscles with other creative individuals and aim for first place to win a prize! Cash bar will be available. 1-5pm, FREE TO ATTEND

Tickets for all events in the IDBeach event series will be available through Eventbrite for $12 with the exception of AIGA Trivia, which is a free ticketed event. The IDBeach is powered by Party By Design, and all events are 21+ unless otherwise noted. ID-Beach is located in the Innovation and Design Building, 23 Drydock Avenue, Boston MA.
