Presented by the Lesley Institute for Trauma Sensitivity (LIFTS) and the Center for Inclusive and Special education, this remote residency will explore how to develop safe, supportive, and trauma-sensitive environments that make it possible for all students to learn. Highlighting the importance of connections, the residency explores that providing equitable opportunities for success requires individual supports and community-wide understanding.
The residency kicks off with a keynote presentation on Friday, October 9 with online coursework, including synchronous class sessions, lasting through December 11. The goal is to provide an understanding of the impact of trauma on student learning that will inform decision-making in schools and classrooms.
The keynote presentation is free and open to the public.
