This course will open a window onto what many consider to be the world's most interesting wine culture. We can all be grateful to the extremely mountainous nature of the Italian peninsula for creating geographically isolated areas and dozens of specific food and wine cultures. How have the local cultivars, weather, geography, and cuisine contributed to the nature of each wine? Including the northern, central and southern regions, the class will cover a range of wines from famous regions, and maybe one or two that surprise you! Snacks will be served along with the wines.
