In response to the recent Christchurch mosque shooting which claimed lives of 50 people in New Zealand, and the continuing White Supremacy, xenophobia, and racism locally and globally, the Lesley community will come together to reflect on:

— How do we make sense of White Supremacy and the global rise of right-wing extremism?
— How do liberals contribute to creating and upholding Islamophobia, xenophobia, and bigotry?
— How do U.S. imperialism and other global power players propagate war and violence in the Middle East?
— How do Lesley students perceive structural racism and what does everyday resistance look like?
— How can we engage with local and global communities to challenge White Supremacy and racial violence?

The community roundtable will begin with the screening of two-time Emmy and Peabody award-winning director Deeyah Khan’s “White Right: Meeting the Enemy.” Attendees will also get a chance to ask questions and share opinions.
