Curated by the MFA, the 23rd annual Boston French Film Festival boasts a diverse lineup of 20 new films produced in France—from comedy and romance to experimental cinema.
This year’s festival opens on July 11 with a free outdoor screening of the gleefully absurd comedy The Trouble with You, starring Audrey Tautou and Adéle Haenel, and continues through July 28 with Claire Denis’s haunting science fiction film High Life, starring Robert Pattinson and Juliette Binoche; the psychedelic dance/horror film Climax, by Gaspar Noé (Enter the Void); and more. The festival closes with I Feel Good, a hilarious send-up of modern capitalism and materialism starring the magnetic Jean Dujardin (The Artist).
The full lineup will be published on June 13. Tickets go on sale June 20.
