The 158th Annual Marshfield Fair 2026

The Marshfield Fair returns for its 158th year with ten days of rides, livestock, live music, and demolition derbies at the fairgrounds at 140 Main St. Gates open daily at noon and the fair runs until 10 pm (August 21 through 30).

Fiesta Shows runs the midway, and the grounds are packed with things to see between rides: the Pine Meadow Farm Children's Zoo, chainsaw artist Rick Boni, illusionist Lance Gifford & Co., aerialist Celia, a glass blower, a working blacksmith shop, draft horses, a butterfly display, and the New England Giant Pumpkin Contest on August 22. Free kids' activities include Farmer for a While, cow milking, and a scavenger hunt. Daily demos cover arts and crafts, wood turning, ham radio, organic gardening, and horticulture.

The music tent hosts two full festival weekends. The North River Blues Festival takes over August 22 and 23 with music from noon to 8 pm both days, headlined by Rick Estrin & the Nightcats on Saturday and the Chris Cain Band on Sunday. Country Music Weekend closes the fair August 29 and 30 with music from noon to 9 pm, featuring Whiskey Glasses, a Morgan Wallen tribute, on Saturday night and Alec MacGillivray on Sunday.

Several days come with deals. Seniors get in free on August 25, kids 12 and under get in free on August 27, and Marshfield residents can get a $25 wristband on August 28 with proof of residency. General admission is $15 at the gate, $12 in advance through August 20. Kids 6 and under are always free. Parking at Gate E is $10, or $8 in advance. Ride wristbands are $30 online and $35 onsite on select days, and the Mega Pass, which bundles unlimited mechanical rides with gate admission for any one day, is $45 presale and $60 after August 21.

• Friday, August 21: Fantastic Fridays. GCFMA Flower Show all day, dog show at 12:30, ox pulling at 1, 3, and 5, music by The 80's Band from 2 to 5, Birch Swart Band from 6 to 9, demolition derby at 6:45. Kiddie rides are 50 percent off.
• Saturday, August 22: North River Blues Festival, music from noon to 8. Cattle sorting at noon, baking and cooking contest at 1, New England Giant Pumpkin Contest at 1, truck pulls at 2 and 7, youth giant pumpkin weigh in at 5, Rick Estrin & the Nightcats from 6:30 to 8.
• Sunday, August 23: North River Blues Festival continues, music from noon to 8. Cattle sorting at noon, truck pulls at 2 and 6:30, hydrangea show at 2, charcuterie vegetable contest at 2, Chris Cain Band from 6:30 to 8.
• Monday, August 24: Dairy goat show at 12:30, That 70's Band from 2 to 5, swine achievement at 5, Disco Dream from 6 to 9, Figure 8 demolition derby at 6:45.
• Tuesday, August 25: Senior Citizen's Day, seniors free. Dairy goat achievement at 12:30, open sunflower show at 2, pit bike racing at 5, swine show at 5:30, That 60's Band from 6 to 9.
• Wednesday, August 26: 4-H Agriculture Awareness Day with youth activities all day. Ikebana in horticulture all day, Supercross motocross at noon and 6, appetizer plate contest at 4, music by Gainsville Road and Too Much Fun.
• Thursday, August 27: Children's Day, ages 12 and under free. Rabbit show at 12:30, horse pulling at 1, 3, and 5, zinnia contest at 2, Charlie Marie from 2 to 4, dog agility show at 6:30, demolition derby at 6:45.
• Friday, August 28: Fantastic Fridays. Dog achievement and horse show at 12:30, meet the dog breeds at 2, dairy cattle show at 4:30, horse vaulting at 4:30, demolition derby finals at 6:45, 4-H talent show at 7.
• Saturday, August 29: Country Music Weekend, music from noon to 9. Bird carving contest at noon, sheep show at 12:30, baking and cooking contest at 1, beef cattle show at 4:30, wine tasting at 5, Whiskey Glasses from 6 to 9, Figure 8 demo derby finals at 6:45.
• Sunday, August 30: Country Music Weekend closes it out, music from noon to 9. Antique truck and tractor show from noon to 6, 4-H quiz bowl at 12:30, Quilt of Valor ceremony at 1, tractor pull from 2 to 5, plant auction at 4, Alec MacGillivray from 6 to 8.
