Those family photo holiday cards you send are not greeting cards. Greeting cards have a crease in the middle so they can stand on their own. What you're sending is IMPOSSIBLE TO DISPLAY pieces of paper.


Are we now on the hook to buy some kind of hanging postcard display to attach the pictures of your dumb kids and the braggy annual updates you send? No. That's a breach of etiquette. You're asking more of us than you should by sending us a two dimensional plane and asking us to put it somewhere.


If you want to mail us something, mail us a card, with a fold in the middle, that can stand up ON ITS GODDAMN OWN on our sideboard. If you do, we will proudly keep them up for a few days before throwing them in the recycling with the half dozen Harry & David catalogs we also get every December.
