R.F. O’Sullivan & Son is conjuring up the Halloween spirit as they welcome Veronica Keddy to their house on October 26 for tarot card and pendulum readings. Keddy – a Somerville local and self-proclaimed green witch, fortune teller and beer enthusiast – has been soothsaying for the past five years and is eager to let RFO faithfuls what’s in the cards. Keddy will give a glimpse into the future through a few options: draw a single card to see if things start looking up this year ($20), let the sway of the pendulum give clarity to a looming question ($20), or get personal over an extended session ($35).

 

If getting deep is a little more than you’re bargaining for, try a different sort of trial: RFOs features a “Board of Burgers Challenge” where hopefuls try to polish off a massive platter of five half-pound burgers, a bed of onion rings and French fries in addition to five pickle spears. Clean the plate – without an assist from friends – and your photo will be added to the Hall of Fame board, you’ll take home a commemorative t-shirt and RFO’s will comp your conquest.
