What happens when the library becomes a miniature city? Bring your favorite vehicle to drive around the colorful tape roads criss-crossing the children’s library. Explore different locations around town, each with their own activities and ways to play. Help the town grow by adding new places to stop.

This is the third of three Summer Reading hands-on building events.

Recommended for children ages 2-4.

*$5 for adults and children over 5.

Registration begins June 8 at 9 am.

The Athenæum's five galleried floors overlook the peaceful Granary Burying Ground, and, as Gamaliel Bradford wrote in 1931, "it is safe to say that [no library] anywhere has more an atmosphere of its own, that none is more conducive to intellectual aspiration and spiritual peace." The building was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1966.
