About SWET Community Series:
A complimentary class series designed to make SWET more accessible to the community.
These classes offer a supportive way to explore aerial movement, stretch, and recovery in the hammock—whether you’re brand new or simply looking for a different way to move.
Each offering in the series is approachable, lower-pressure, and designed to help you feel better in your body.
About this class:
A slower, more restorative hammock-based class designed to help you release tension, open the body, and reset.
Using the hammock low to the ground, this class focuses on deeper stretch, longer holds, and supported shapes that help you unwind without intensity.
Ideal if your body feels tight, tired, or in need of recovery.
No aerial experience needed.
About the instructor:
Yusra (she/her) found her love for the aerial arts at SWET Studio in the Summer of 2024, and she began her journey of volunteering at the studio later on that same Winter before moving on to obtain her teaching certification in March 2026 - just a few short months after having her newborn!
Yusra’s passion for aerial yoga has been a great supplement to her ongoing work in the field of social work and mental health, where she serves as a full-time licensed psychotherapist for students who are interested in receiving trauma-informed counseling support, as well as pet-therapy, which Yusra is also certified to provide with her two dogs, Lana Banana & Pinkie. In addition to providing therapeutic support and outreach, Yusra is certified in Reiki (Level 1).
Always on the hunt to learn new ways to support her fellow humans, Yusra finds the playfulness offered by aerial yoga [and its many inversions] as being a meaningful way to release trauma from one’s body and to help further along one’s journey with coping, healing, and trust re-building. When not hanging upside down herself, Yusra can be found going on adventures around the city (mainly on the hunt for tacos and desserts) with her pups, her husband, and their adorable little son.
