Welcome to the annual family event Swedish Yuletide at Cyclorama - Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont Street, on December 8, 2018.

Since 1986, SWEA Boston has hosted Swedish Yuletide to celebrate Christmas and the holiday season. This fundraiser attracts thousands of visitors and is the largest Scandinavian event in New England.

Swedish food and beverages
In a festive holiday setting, Swedish Yuletide offers a smorgasbord of both traditional and contemporary Sweden. Visitors can enjoy Swedish meatballs and waffles, sandwiches, pastries and more, and of course glögg - the hot spicy beverage of the season.

Vendors
Unique gifts and designs are available to view or purchase through SWEA and the many Scandinavian vendors. Home accessories, clothing, jewelry, Sami crafts, books and so much more. Foods and baked goods are also available to bring home.

Music and Entertainment
The highlight for many is the Lucia pageant with the enthusiastic children from the Swedish School of Boston together with local Swedish students and au pairs. The Lucia pageants perform twice during the fair, at 11:30 AM and 2 PM. There will also be live music performed throughout the day. The SWEA Singers, led by Eva DiLascio, join us again for some lovely melodies. As always, our accordionist Dan Mackowiak will be back. At the end of the day, Max Holm accompanied by Julia Fischler, Max Ridley, and Ludvig Broll will perform familiar tunes from Monica Zetterlund and Cornelius Vreeswijk, as well as Swedish Christmas songs. Max is a Presidential Scholar at the Berklee College of Music and an award-winning musician with a strong foundation in classical and jazz piano.

Kid’s Corner
The youngest visitors are welcome to our Kid’s Corner located behind the stage where they can make Christmas ornaments and fish for small gifts from our ”fishpond”. The Kid’s Corner is a popular part of the fair for the youngest and can be busy at times.

Admission
Tickets are ONLY sold at the door and will be $10. Children under 13 years – free.

All proceeds go towards local charities and scholarships - Swedish Yuletide enables SWEA Boston´s support of Swedish and Scandinavian organizations and events as well as scholarships to American women who wish to study or pursue projects in Sweden.
